Free Cataract Surgeries in Sumbawa

Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation SCTV Indosiar (YPP) organized the BNI Berbagi Program for the provision of free cataract surgeries in four areas of Eastern Indonesia, setting a goal of 450 eyes healed. This program aims to help patients recover from vision loss and support their return to their day-to-day lives. The free cataract surgeries are proof of BNI's commitment to tackling public health issues and reducing the rate of cataract-blindness in Indonesia.

The Cataract Surgery Social Service program with BNI was also done in collaboration with the West Nusa Tenggara PERDAMI, Sumbawa District Health Service, and. H.L. Manambai Hospital. A total of 4 ophthalmologists and 16 other officers were deployed to assist in the event.
