YPP organized a media literacy program themed anti-bullying, wise use of social media, and anti-pornography at SDN Cidokom 2, Cidokom, Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
The school principal, on behalf of the school, expressed appreciation and gratitude for the YPP SCTV–Indosiar program, which was considered highly beneficial. The activity aims to equip children with the ability to use social media wisely and to understand and be aware of the negative exposure to pornography, which can be harmful to children and disrupt their psychological development, mental well-being, and learning concentration.
A total of 501 students participated in this outreach program. The session focused on wise and responsible use of social media, bullying prevention, and the dangers of pornography on social media and in daily social interactions, so that students are able to respond wisely and responsibly.
The materials were delivered by Ka Dikar KS as a storyteller. The program was presented in an engaging format through interactive games, moral storytelling, and various simulations, creating an enjoyable atmosphere that helped children absorb the information enthusiastically.
Through this activity, children were encouraged to use social media wisely and to develop reading habits from an early age, so that Generation Alpha can grow into a visually literate, intelligent, and well-rounded generation.
