Media Literacy at Labschool Kindergarten Jakarta

On December 17, 2025, as part of teaching children to appreciate one of Indonesia’s local cultures, namely Betawi traditions, TK Labschool organized an event called “Pasar Betawi.” In this event, YPP Indosiar SCTV contributed by conducting a Media Literacy Outreach Program themed “Anti-Bullying, Wise Use of Social Media, and Choosing Appropriate Reading Materials from an Early Age.”

The principal of TK Labschool expressed gratitude for YPP’s contribution in delivering the media literacy session, which was presented by Ka Dikar as a ventriloquist using storytelling techniques, ice-breaking activities, and group singing with the students. It is hoped that this outreach program will help shape the character of Generation Alpha children to become individuals with strong moral values who respect the dignity of others. A total of 258 children participated in this activity.

In connection with the natural disasters that occurred in several provinces in Sumatra, the school principal also taught students to care and develop empathy for their fellow citizens who were affected by the floods. Therefore, proceeds from the students’ sales during the Pasar Betawi Labschool event, along with contributions from the school, amounted to a donation of IDR 20,000,000, which was symbolically handed over to YPP during the event.
