Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation, in collaboration with the Pondok Kasih Foundation and the Indonesian Brotherhood Forum, held an "Organic Agriculture Training" activity in Karanganyar District, Pekalongan Regency on October 12 and 13, 2022. This was part of a community empowerment program, one that has been one of YPP’s areas of concern.
Participants of the activity were not only farmers, but housewives and young people interested in agriculture. In this training, participants are taught to recognize and identify plants within their surroundings that can be converted into organic fertilizer or pesticides which are much healthier. It is hoped that this training can help people find additional income by maximizing the potential of the environment they live in.
Sutimin is an organic farming practitioner invited to lead the training. Apart from delivering theoretical knowledge, he also helped participants practice making organic fertilizer using natural ingredients found in the environment around the training site.
This training aims to encourage independent farming in the community and increase the productivity of agricultural practices to support both the individual’s family and national food security by using natural ingredients. This training can help reduce dependence on manufactured fertilizers and pesticides, thus leading to healthier and better quality crops.
Thank you SCTV and Indosiar viewers for your participation by channeling your donations and support through YPP.
