Reconstructing Houses Damaged by the Cianjur Earthquake

YPP Indosiar SCTV and the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs will build houses for victims of the 2022 Cianjur earthquake. The Executive Chairman of YPP, Imam Sudjarwo, and the Minister of Social Affairs conducted a symbolic handover in which they buried the first stone to mark the start of construction in Mekarsari Village, Cianjur District, Cianjur Regency, West Java on Thursday, May 4, 2023. The house, designed to be earthquake resistant using interlocking brick materials, will also be built in Benjot village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, West Java. The victims will live with another member of the family while construction of the 6mx6m house ensues for three months.
