Media Literacy at Tarakanita Catholic Elementary School, North Jakarta

On December 16, 2025, YPP held a media literacy event with the themes of anti-bullying, wise use of social media, and anti-pornography at SD Katolik Tarakanita 4, located at Jl. Taman Pluit Permai Barat No. 1, Special Capital Region of Jakarta 14450.

The principal, representing the school, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the YPP SCTV-Indosiar event, which was considered very beneficial. This event was expected to equip children to be more wise in using social media, as well as to be able to understand and be aware of the negative exposure to pornography that can harm children and disrupt their mental development and concentration in learning.

A total of 282 students from grades 1 to 3 participated in this outreach activity. The outreach focused on discussions about wise use of social media, prevention of bullying, and the dangers of pornography on social media and in daily interactions, so that students would be able to respond wisely and responsibly.

The material was delivered by Ka Dikar KS as a storyteller, with an interesting program package through interactive games, moral stories, and various simulations. This method made the children enthusiastic and able to absorb information in a fun atmosphere.

Through this activity, the importance of wisdom in using social media and the habit of reading from an early age was emphasized, so that children as part of Generation Alpha can grow into a visual, intelligent generation.
