Mass Cataract Operation with PERDAMI Riau at RSUD Puri Husada Tembilahan, Riau

In addition to regular bimonthly cataract surgeries in collaboration with KANA Clinic and PERDAMI at Kirana Hospital, YPAPK also visits remote areas in need of free cataract surgery services for the poor.

On August 5-6, 2017, in collaboration with PERDAMI Riau and the local government of Indragiri Hilir, YPAPK held a free cataract surgery at Puri Husada Hospital in Tembilahan, and successfully operated on 151 cataract patients (YPAPK covered 100 patients).

It is hoped that these cataract surgeries can reduce the number of cataract patients in Indonesia and restore the patients' vision so that they can live their daily lives better and independently.
