Free Cataract Surgery in Purwokerto, Central Java

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar together with Yayasan Lentera Mata Indah, KODAM IV / Diponegoro, and the Indonesian Ophthalmologist Association (PERDAMI) organized a Cataract Surgery Social Service at the Wijayakusuma Army Hospital Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java on June 26-28, 2025.

This activity was supported by a medical team from the Lentera Mata Foundation and PERDAMI. Cataract surgery social service participants came from Banyumas, Cilacap, Purbalingga and Banjarnegara regencies. A total of 250 patients were successfully operated on.

The Cataract Surgery Social Service was attended by Colonel (INF) Jamaluddin, Danrem 071/ Wijayakusuma and Mr. Robert Njo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lentera Mata Indah.
