Free Cataract Surgeries in Bogor

Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs and PERDAMI, held the Cataract Surgery Social Service program in Bogor City and Bogor Regency on October 25-29, 2023, taking place at the Ciawi Regional Hospital, Bogor Regency and the Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Eye Clinic, Bogor City.

The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs,  Tri Rismaharini was present for the program, in order to supervise and watch over the activities herself. 

Hundreds of patients from Bogor City and Bogor Regency participated in the surgery, totaling 656 patients. 335 cataract patients passed the screening and were suitable for surgery. The details are as follows:

1. Ainun Eye Clinic, Bogor City. Total: 200 eyes. Operation schedule;

• October 25th, 100 eyes
• October 27th, 100 eyes

2. RSUD Ciawi Kab. Bogor. Total: 135 eyes. Operation schedule;

• October 25, 20 eyes
• October 29, 115 eyes

Post-Operation activities were carried out one day after the cataract surgery. Screening and cataract surgery will still be carried out on October 29 for 36 more cataract patients.
