Distribution of Bamboo-Crafting Machines and Tools for the West Java PUSBIK

Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation provided assistance in the form of appropriate technological machines and tools for bamboo crafts to the Business and Crafts Center (PUSBIK) on June 14, 2023 in Sukamulya Village, Cipingkor, West Bandung, West Java.

Chief Executive of YPP,  Dewi Yudho Miranti, handed over 13 of these machines and tools to the residents. The tools provided consisted of:

• 1 unit of bamboo-drying oven
• 1 unit of bamboo lathe
• 1 unit of bamboo preservation tub
• 1 unit of lathe for outer skin removal
• 15 units of animal hide
• 1 unit of carbonation oven 
• 1 unit of automatic electric drill
• 1 bamboo weaving tool
• 2 units of cutting press machines
• 1 unit of laser engraving machine
• 1 unit of curved cutting edge
• 5 units of wood sanding machines
• 2 units of paint compressor machines

PUSBIK empowers local residents, encouraging them to get involved in creating bamboo crafts that are still done traditionally.

With the help of this machine, what was once reliant on individual skill can now evolve into a semi-technological industry.

PUSBIK seeks to develop the appropriate technology to process bamboo into modern products by utilizing an environmentally friendly approach.
