
Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Maluku Primary Eye Clinic, PERDAMI, the Southeast Maluku Regency Government, and the Tual City Government, organized a Cataract Surgery Humanitarian Action. The event, held from April 22 to 24, 2026, took place at the Karel Sadsuitubun Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Southeast Maluku Province.
Hundreds of residents from Southeast Maluku Regency and Tual City enthusiastically participated in the medical program. During this humanitarian initiative, YPP provided full financial support for surgeries on 150 eyes. The medical procedures were successfully carried out with the support of 3 ophthalmologists from the Maluku Primary Eye Clinic, ensuring high-quality care for all patients.
The event was attended by the Regent of Southeast Maluku, Mr. Muhammad Thaher Hanubun and his staff; the Director of Social Rehabilitation for the Elderly of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Mr. Suratna; and the Executive Chairman of YPP, Mr. Abas Yahya. Through this multi-agency collaboration, Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih aims to expand the reach of health services to remote areas to improve the quality of life for residents through vision restoration.
