Women's Empowerment Activities have been carried out in East Lombok Regency as an effort to increase women's capacity and economic independence. This activity was attended by 30 women from Kraang Bedil Village in East Lombok. This activity was carried out in collaboration between Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) and Bank BTN as a form of joint commitment in supporting community economic empowerment, especially for women. The activity took place from December 16-19, 2025.
During the four days of implementation, the participants received upskilling training that focused on developing practical skills, namely training in baking and sewing. In the cake-making training, participants were equipped with basic knowledge about ingredient selection, processing techniques, and the practice of making various cakes with market value. Meanwhile, in the sewing training, participants learned how to use sewing machines, basic sewing techniques, and how to make simple products that could be developed into home businesses.
In addition to technical skills training, participants also received training on going digital. The training material covered an introduction to digital marketing. The aim of this training was to enable participants to market their products more widely and keep up with developments in digital technology.
The participants welcomed this activity with enthusiasm. They actively participated in the entire training program, engaged in discussions, and conducted hands-on practice. Through this activity, it is hoped that the participants will acquire new skills that can increase their family income and encourage the growth of home-based micro-businesses in East Lombok.
Overall, the women's empowerment activity ran smoothly and had a positive impact on the participants. In the future, it is hoped that there will be continued assistance so that the skills acquired can be developed on an ongoing basis.
