Trauma Healing for Children Affected by the Sumatra Flash Floods and Landslides in Kotalintang, North Aceh

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar collaborated with Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Universitas Islam Indonesia (IKA UII) and Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam Universitas Islam Indragiri to organize a Trauma Healing Activity for Children Affected by Flash Floods and Landslides in Al Ikhsan Village, Kotalintang Subdistrict, Kualasimpang District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, on January 8, 2026.

Together with Ka Resha, a storyteller, the children were invited to play, tell stories, and draw. The children were very happy and enthusiastic about participating in this activity. The Trauma Healing activity provided some comfort to them amid the current challenging situation following the natural disaster, where many of their homes were damaged and destroyed by the flash floods and landslides in late November 2026.

During the activity, YPP also distributed UHT milk and biscuits to the 33 children participating in the Trauma Healing session.
