Targeting 5,000 Units: Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Supports Ramadan Blood Donation Drive in Surabaya

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with the Surabaya City PMI, is hosting a Ramadan Blood Donation Drive from March 9 to 17, 2026. Aiming for a target of 5,000 donors or blood units, the event is being held across two major shopping centers in Surabaya: BG Junction and Royal Plaza.

This initiative is a proactive step to ensure sufficient blood reserves during the month of Ramadan and leading up to the Eid al-Fitr holidays. As blood donation rates typically decline during the fasting month, maintaining a stable supply is crucial for patients who require regular blood transfusions for their ongoing medical treatments.

To support the operation of this large-scale drive, YPP has provided 2,200 ready-to-eat meal packages for medical personnel and the generous donors who participate in the event.

The event was attended by the Vice Chairperson of Surabaya City PMI, Mr. Taufik Rohman Hidayat. Through this collaboration, Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih remains committed to supporting humanitarian actions that directly contribute to public health and welfare.
