Securing Blood Supplies During Ramadan: YPP SCTV Indosiar Supports Blood Donation Drive at Masjid Gedhe Kauman

In collaboration with the Yogyakarta City PMI and the Masjid Gedhe Kauman, Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar hosted a Ramadan Blood Donation Drive on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Held at the Masjid Gedhe Kauman area from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM WIB, the event successfully collected 402 units of blood.

The initiative aims to maintain sufficient blood reserves throughout the month of Ramadan and until the Eid al-Fitr holidays. Addressing the potential decline in blood stocks during the fasting month is vital for patients who rely on regular blood transfusions for their medical treatments.

To support the event's operation, YPP provided 500 ready-to-eat meal packages for medical staff and the generous donors who participated in the drive.

The event was attended by Mr. Haka Astana, the Acting Chairperson of Yogyakarta City PMI, and Mr. Azmar Umar, the Chairperson of the Masjid Gedhe Kauman Committee. This synergy highlights the spirit of humanity and community care during the holy month, ensuring that those in need of medical assistance are not overlooked.
